Lab technician for Admescope Sweden AB in Södertälje

Admescope is looking for a lab technician to join the team at Admescope Sweden AB's site in Södertälje with a local employment contract.

About the company

ADMESCOPE SWEDEN AB was founded in Södertälje as MetaSafe AB in 2013 to offer mass spectrometry based analytical services to the pharmaceutical industry. We perform investigations related to drug metabolism and quantitative analysis of drugs in vitro and in vivo, and our results are used to support the development of safe and effective drugs. In June 2018, we joined ADMESCOPE OY, a Finnish CRO, which provides services throughout the ADME-tox area of pharmaceutical development. ADMESCOPE SWEDEN will continue to grow in Södertälje and seeks a laboratory assistant/technicians, biomedical analysts or similar who can work close to our scientific specialists in different types of studies.

About the job

The candidate is expected to perform laboratory work related to experiments with different biological material, and sample preparation for LC/MS based analyses. The work involves the hands-on operations with metabolic in vitro systems, according to established procedures, and handling biological matrices such as plasma, urine, or tissues, that are being prepared for LC-MS/analyzes performed by our specialists.

The candidate is expected to perform independent routine laboratory work. The methodologies are often manual but partly developed for "high-throughput", and in both cases require great accuracy and ability to plan your work well. The duties also include partial responsibility for the lab maintenance, such as doing storage inventory, ordering consumables and chemicals, and maintenance of small instruments.

Who are we looking for?

• A biomedical analyst, laboratory technician or similar
• Experience in experimental work in bioanalytical laboratory or cell culture laboratory is a benefit
• Advanced knowledge in chemistry is a plus
• Good knowledge in Swedish and English, in both spoken and written, is expected

The applicant is expected to be well-organized and responsible. It is important that you are able to cooperate and have good communication skills and a solution-oriented attitude. You are flexible and can prioritize when the situation requires.
