Metabolite Production and NMR IdentificationIn vitro Metabolism
• Production using recombinant enzymes, liver microsomes or biomimetic catalysts
• 600 MHz NMR with a cryoprobe
When confirmation of structure of the drug metabolite or its quantification by NMR is needed, we have a selection of biological and biomimetic tools available to upscale the metabolite production, followed by isolation using preparative chromatography. Enabled by modern NMR technology with cryogenically cooled low-volume sample units, the purified metabolite amounts in the range of tens to hundreds of micrograms are enough for variety of one- and two-dimensional NMR experiments.
