Virtual events & new members

22 June 2020

Since the Covid-19 related travel restrictions in Europe started, Admescope has signed up for multiple partnering events that are taking place online, in order to meet our existing and new customers. These focused industry events give an excellent opportunity for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to learn about the latest developments in the industry as well as Admescope’s service offering and the different ways that we can help to advance the drug discovery and development projects.

The upcoming events that we will be participating in are the Medicinal Chemistry & Biology online strategy meeting by Proventa International, taking place on 29th of June, and in this event you will be able to meet Dr Miia Kovalainen, Business Development Scientist, online. The next event after this one will be the Oxford Global’s Drug Discovery virtual event, taking place on 29th and 30th of July, and in that one you will be able schedule online meetings with our Business Development Scientist Jouni Jukka. The third event in the upcoming months will also be produced by Oxford Global, and this one will be the Biologics series virtual event, and Miia will be participating in this event, too.

A warm welcome to our new colleagues in the Biologics team in Oulu, and our Södertälje site

We are happy to welcome two new colleagues at our Oulu site, focusing on our Biologics research projects and both bringing in industrial experience. Juha Kerätär started recently and as a biochemist and with industrial background he will bring expertise to our MS based services.

Senthil Kumar Thangaraj, PhD in Chemistry, is joining our Biologics team in a few days’ time. Senthil joins us from his position as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Eastern Finland.

We are also happy to welcome a new colleague to our Södertälje site, Anders Lindgren started working with us last week. Prior to joining Admescope, he worked as a clinical chemist at Karolinska University Hospital, and he also has a long experience as a biotransformation scientist at AstraZeneca.
